Additionally, the draw motor offers easy startup and reduced breaker tripping, as well as a high-flow regulator that provides maximum air pressure to increase jobsite performance. And running at 69 dBA, the D55140 provides end users with a quieter operation compared to the competition.

The D55140 is also equipped with an oil-free, long-life pump, allowing for maintenance-free operation. The oil-free design of the pump eliminates the need for you to check or refill the pump, and it also helps keep your jobsite clean by preventing oil from transferring to your work surface.

I like this compressor it is a perfect size. I remodel and use a frame nailer as well as a trim nailer.It fit in the back seat of my truck.

For what it is designed to do this compressor comes in first place. To me it is perfectly suited for the jobs where you have to put shoe or crown or toekick panels in as a finishing touch when the job has been otherwise completed. It only has a 1 gallon tank so using a blowoff tool is out. It is very easy to carry and also light. but if you bought or are buying this small compressor for any such application you are proving to the world you have no idea what you are doing. When it runs it is very quiet and fills as quickly as you could want in a small unit. I have used the Senco 1 gallon and this one seemed quieter and lighter. Great for any capstone pieces in the trim package.It has limitations but they were not surprising.

It performs perfectly with trim guns all the way from a 15 ga. trim nailer all the way down to a micropinner. Framing nailers, forget about it. Tiny, maintenance-free, light, quiet, perfect for small jobs.

Bought this for my husband. Perfect for those nailing the fence up. It is so quiet. He plugged it in the kitchen and ran it for 10 minutes -- we couldn't believe how quiet and lightweight it is. quick recharge, easy to handle. LOVE IT.

Bought this air compressor to use with some trim nail guns. I got less service out of it than I did a previous cheap one from Harbor Freight (about a quarter of the price). Worked great right up to the moment it started leaking air around the piston. With a DeWalt Emglo, I thought that I was buying quality. Motor still looks new, but won't hold air. Don't buy this one.

I found this unit perfect for what I bought it for. Light and more important, easy to carry. It is not like a pancake compressor which you have to carry away from your body. I haven't used it a lot, but it is very quiet and more than enough for a finish nailer.
